6 pets each with a 25% increase increased total damage by 25% not 150%. Chain knockdown has a fast recharge and lets you keep groups half out of the fight. Only real downside is that constant noise.| I just made an Ice/Martial build for someone and it was really, really good (maybe credit to martial). I've seen stable Primary Powerset lists, but the Secondary Powersets seem more debatable. Edit the label text in each row. HAHA no. Commander Tiers - COH2.ORG In general though, proc builds are easier to make on defenders as they have higher modifiers allowing you to proc attacks out without losing defenses/resists elsewhere. A tier list including Defenders effectively chops off the top - because tier one sets work better for Defenders than Corruptors - and you're left with some special cases and tier two or lower choices. Smoke Flash makes one pet crit with every attack for ten seconds, and the recharge is low enough that you can conceivably get it perma on two pets at a time, if you build for maximum global recharge bonus. The primary virtues of this set are Steamy Mist (weaker for Corruptors, but still grants a decent bonus), Sleet (no difference between Defender/Corruptor), and Benumb (no difference in terms of the key -regen component). Constant AOE damage & multiple sources of knockdown. Robots/Force Field - the old standby, a classic, and my first Incarnate MM. It's expensive, but man it is so much fun to just run up to mobs in melee range and scrap it out at the dmg cap. Best jack of all trades? They seriously outpace all other MM pets in damage. Tar Patch's slow and -damage resist soften up enemies quite nicely. Mind sharing your build? I don't have one, but I've teamed with MMs running these builds. The first is that Defenders are simply better at support than Corruptors - and when that support involves increasing damage, that means they eat into (and often eliminate) the superior base damage/Scourge Corruptors enjoy. Love my Fire/Time/Dark to death. But other than people thinking it works like that kinetics is great on any mm. However, if you are distracted often IRL, or multi-task, this is a GOOD TIER combo for that play style, as it runs itself. Show me your Mastermind tier list! Three of these four also add some self healing to the pets fixing cold combinations sustain issues. This is my main for incarnate work. Because that's my favorite thing to do on my mind dom. Player CC should be hard-capped at 4s when in PvP. I 100% recommend it for the "I want to be a h34lz0r" crowd, so even if they just want to sit in the back playing HP whack-a-mole with teammates, they can at least put pets on aggressive so they're contributing something to team dps. For some reason they decided rocket needed to be on a four minute cooldown, snipe is on a minute cooldown and deals less damage than even moderate Jonin or Skeleton abilities which have far shorter cooldowns, the medic doesn't get the Assault Rifle Upgrade, gets a weaker grenade attack, a long cooldown heal, and a meh mez resistance, and your spec ops love to waste their CC's on targets that are already suffering from CC affects. They are a bit on the endurance heavy side though, and obviously the suckers are squishy but their low cooldown, constant damage ((With Jonin dealing high damage to boot, second only to Skeletons but without Skeletons flaws)) and the Oni's damage is non-physical and decent stacks up real quick. Affects player, though is at the mercy of the AI. POOR TIER - generally found to do a poor job of keeping the MM or pets alive to do their job - deal damage. You just get autoheld and hope you don't die from AS or blasters. There is a lot of good info here. Empathy's secondary Focus of healing Won't keep your pets alive and will have ever diminishing value after you hit 50. The pets also benefit way more from controller buff sets, similar to fire. Seeker Drones are janky I want them to be some sneaky stun yet how they both run into the same target and even with accuracy nothing happen it's easily skipped. Some may be considered "Overpowered/Unbalanced." Drag the images into the order you would like. I'm curious. 4. Or if more of the APPs were similar to Psi Mastery (adding some kinda buff). I'm not too sure Mind Control needs a pet either (though I'm not especially fond of pet powers on Dominators in general, so I may be biased). I know TA doesn't get much love from the MM community, but this particular pairing was noteworthy to me for how surprisingly effective it was. For me it'll be Traps my issue is that the bombs are overall useless. I certainly don't see much conversation on the boards regarding MM's and /Nature. The current damage proc centric metagame reduces the dps gap between the two archetypes so much that the value in stronger buff modifiers of defenders weighs in heavier. You run into a blaster, you trade holds (they char you, you fossilize them), your hold lasts around 2.5 seconds, there's last probably around 1.6-1.8 seconds or something like that(everyone runs acrobatics so hold durations are diminished). Bots/Cold is the sturdiest while leveling/before sets that I've tried (I've tried a lot, way more than any other AT)also has great debuffs, a bit boring in general like FF though. To state the obvious, you can win with ANY commander (or none) if you outplay your opponent. It is not the top DPS but it is fun and sturdy. I've colored my favorites in GOLD. But yeah for sure the dark hold lasts longer than 4 seconds. There is no MM combo you can't take to full incarnate, solo or teamed. They get the mez protection aspect, and I'm not sure that Domination makes up for better defenses, team buffs, and a freaking nuke. Necro's are an oddity. Just going to ruin stuff. The sets each have issues but also have good workable points too. - Feb 6, 2023 11:46 am 0 Image via DH Games Do you want to assemble the best possible team in Idle Heroes? B: Lend Lease, Shock Rifle Frontline, Soviet Shock Army, Counterattack, Partisan, Mechanized Support. That's why I'm asking if people see the mez actually apply longer than 4s or is it just people seeing the duration on the power being higher than 4s. Necro/Dark - less damage than Thugs (unless you proc out Lich and Grave Knights), but more consistent controls and debuffs mean the pets do half your job for you. I've basically got 3 tiers for the primary, The top tier - no surprises here, Bots, Thugs and Demons. We're here to rank them all. It's very effective, at least for the Thugs/Emp I madebut, for me, the attention to detail required keeps it from being a "go-to" character. Congrats you are god. Again, this is from pure personal experience with these sets. Especially given it also packs -ToHit, -Damage, and utterly ludicrous levels of -recharge to further increase survivability. Fearsome Stare is astrong soft hold, same with heart of darkness doing the disorient. However, I'm learning that there is no combination of procs that can compete with fire's damage on a corruptor, as I was warned by others, lol. Bots or thugs + Dark. Still, I think needing Nerve to push them to be effectively softcapped is a small price to pay to be able to Fulcrum Shift survivable pets. The damage increases are nice but Bot's low overall damage is still a bit of a factor. But here it offers very little to keep your pets alive, although the debuffs are nice, they are in need of a revamp compared to newer sets, both in what they do and how well they do it (radius, debuff amount, splash, recharge, whatever). Depending on how you play a Dominator, you might be locking things down in a scatter formation so Hot Feet won't be super beneficial. I think one of the best things about CoH is how playable pretty much every combination is. Show me your Sentinel tier list! - Sentinel - Homecoming Hopestar Members 216 Posted October 3, 2019 (edited) Hello, I'm @Hopestar and I'll be maintaining a build list thread for each Archetype. (Only on certain private servers.) Subreddit dedicated to the loyal community of City of Heroes. -I think f**cking with stuff is a baaad idea. Introduction Welcome to the Commander Tiers guide, a quick rating reference to which Commanders are "Good", "Bad", and " Ugly ". Fearsome Stare + Shadow Fall + Darkest Night + the unique Pet Defense IO's = Ninja Survival. Choosing an S-tier Commander is always a good choice. Just spam Twilight Grasp and watch them tear mobs to pieces. Can complete all content adequately. In terms of organization, I cover all the factions and divide the commanders into 5 tiers. For all of this I am speaking only for pve. What change did they make between the shutdown and now that brought Ninjas past Thugs for damage? With all the pet auras, leadership, - to hit, and cold domination You're normally squishy but powerful undead will be very difficult to kill and when they do take damage they will be able to heal themselves up Thanks to high resistance in nearly every non physical element. A tier list including Defenders effectively chops off the top - because tier one sets work better for Defenders than Corruptors - and you're left with some special cases and tier two or lower choices. I've seen a few mentions about Demons/Nature as a very powerful build. I've got a Rad/Dark/Power that's a lot of fun. Provoking enemies and acting as a pseudo tank will keep your ninjas alive. Unless something changed from live to now that I'm unaware of, between the Bruiser doing more damage than Oni, Enforcers being absurd, and Gang War, Thugs should do more damage in pretty much any situation. "S" being the top, followed by "A," "B," "C," and "D" at the bottom. This build melts tough targets including AV's. Forge is very nice on the Grave Knights. An example of this is my Water/Bio Armor sentinel. There's not much to say. PvP Tier List - Siren's Call (SO only meta) : r/Cityofheroes - Reddit Without them, we have the lowest HP in the game, topping out at like 800 at level 50. If all CC is capable of working past 4s then that whole chunk isn't working. Benumb is the difference maker. PM me. Does not include all permutations, only included what I've played through myself enough to offer a ranking. A: Defensive, Guard Rifle Combined Arms, Armored Assault, Advanced Warfare. Which commander will make it to S tier? I'm still experimenting here. It's not just the dark hold, it's any mez. It actually performs as a GOOD TIER set, but I rated it down at Decent because its very safe and hands-off..too much so if you want to keep active. It's the commanders that make and break , especially in 4v4. Sure they can hold a target but only marginally longer than other classes (doms/controllers hold for 4 second base, everyone else holds for 2 second base). The main issue with mez system is that there is no real counterplay to it like the old system (where breakfrees/mez protect toggles countered mezzes). To that end, a pet would be actively detrimental to the set, whereas Mass Confusion is a perfect capstone. The same that anyone's damage goes up. If you can keep them alive they'll murder anything in a hurry. 10% from Hybrid puts you to 230%. Can Fortunatas perma-confuse GMs and AVs through PToD? Dominators can also smite their foes with a selection of single-target melee and ranged attacks, with devastating effectiveness. The problem here is that if you're interested in playing */Dark, Dark Affinity for Controllers is a significantly better choice. Anything/Trick Arrow - I love TA on my Illusion Controller. A brief guide to Dominator secondaries : r/Cityofheroes - Reddit The roughest thing about Mind Control at this point, especially for Dominators, IMO, is that most of its nicest powers are also given to Fortunatas. Although widows gain easier to get defenses, they also do not have debuff resistance. Constant healing and sta increases to the whole team and lots of CC. Survivability is there through Strong Lieutenant Maneuvers power. My thugs/traps can easily tank a +4x8 spawn of any enemy group and . It just isn't going to happen. Everyone else-Great Factions don't mean anything. I think it's actually one of the benefits of Mind Control. Still, as per CoH's tradition, when researching about ATs or new sets, new information causes altitis . In the Pre-Incarnate days, there were multiple Mind Control Dominators that soloed the Lord Recluce Strike force which . Similarly, minions that can sustain themselves I'll go with something that offers less support. Checks most of the boxes I have (MM surivability, stealth, heals, defense, resists, pet damage, debuffs, AoE vs ST, group utility). Show me your Mastermind tier list! - Mastermind - Homecoming Little bots technically have a conal attack but the chances of it hitting more then one or two enemies is meh at best. However FF goes off almost every time giving great plus recharge. 2. Old mez system had problems before but at least there was counterplay. and our I haven't found much more satisfying in the game than obliterating spawn groups ( with the elite bosses ) in the fire outdoor map by Briggs. If the second attack in the set is significantly better than the first, it's often preferable to play it as a Corruptor. If you believe there are any GLARING mistakes, please let me know and I will consider making a correction. Exceptional synergy with /time, but still fantastic with most secondaries. 751 78K views 1 year ago #AwakenChaosEra #TierList #Zennosh Enjoy Awaken Chaos Era Quality Gameplay On LD Player: Step 1) https://www.ldplayer.net/games/awaken. The overhaul on it made it much more effective. Even despite their leadership buffs, their power pool choices heavily limit them, whereas the dominator power pool choices are vastly better, notably Ice Mastery for Sleet, an actual heal and +max HP with hoarfrost, and a decent AOE in ice storm all heavily benefit Dominators. C: Most of the Commander's abilities are situational, but 1-2 may still be strong; picking such a Commander should be to counter a specific strategy or to catch the opponent by surprise with an unusual unit or ability. However, raw power wise, I do think that, all things being equal, Bots=thugs > demons > ninja=beast=necro > merc. Kinetics is capable of much more than 25% increase but I'm just using the number as an example. I just wish now we can get a Toxic Web Grenade like Devices since I honestly forget it even exists even if it's solid tool for keeping runners in the same room. As for controllers Elec/Elec if your server has it is crazy fun and so useful to a team. Arctic Air is a PBAOE toggle, so at high level (where exp gain doesn't matter), you have another damage mitigation tool. This was a couple weeks ago so the VoD isn't there anymore and he didn't clip it. You've got a stealth power, a -resist debuff that's the same between Defender and Corruptor, a heal that's fine either way and a bunch of control powers that work essentially the same for either one. Lot's of team utility, lot's of AoE. I love Mercenaries, I really do, but these poor suckers got the short endof the stick. That being said, please take this with a grain of salt, as the meta changes even if the game does not, and my opinion does take some part here. Buffs, heals, crowd control, -recharge, primarily non-physical, demons can do it all and do it decently. Gather the Shadows: A Dark Miasma Primer for Masterminds. I had hoped that all the recharge available would make blizzard + burnout a lot more effective, but it just doesn't work for my playstyle. DECENT TIER - meets most expectations, may be lacking in some areas, or just not be that challenging to play. One that I'd like to see more explored is Bots/Kinetics. CITY OF HEROES ACCOUNT ON HOMECOMING SERVERS: MAXED-OUT ACCOUNT WITH A FIRE-FARMER BRUTE & MORE! Mercs C tier -> The first set where stuff doesn't really work right. (Viable)Dark control has 6 second base duration hold, longer than all the other hold durations which are at 4. Thugs massively outpaces Ninjas for damage against large groups. Thugs A tier -> Lacks -regen, defense doesn't affect player, and uses the more resisted S/L damage type.
